Fiestaware dinner plate and accessories |
Fiesta® Dinnerware was designed by
Frederick Hurton Rhead in 1936 and is now among
the most collected china products in the world. As originally designed, the
line featured art deco
styling and bold, bright colors. The product was discontinued in 1973 and
reissued in 1986 with
new contemporary colors to mark its 50th anniversary.
Fiesta®
Dinnerware’s
styling complements a wide range of decors.
The fifteen bold colors complement one another as well as a wide range
of interior palettes. Over 50 items in the line provide maximum service
options
and ensure consistent tabletop styling. The plate’s coupe shape allows
maximum food
plating surface; sculpted concentric rings highlight and frame the food
presentation.
Alpha Alumina added to the body enhances durability and provides superior
heat retention.
Homer
Laughlin made only semi-vitrified earthenware products for the consumer
markets. With the introduction of a new, fully vitrified china line, the
company was now able to participate in the restaurant/hotel markets.
The hotel/restaurant introduction was such a success that Homer Laughlin
concentrated its efforts on the foodservice market and continued to add new
shapes, patterns and decorating techniques throughout the 1960's and
1970's.Vitrified china with lead-free glaze.
Complements additional Fiesta® Dinnerware pieces for a well-matched
set.
Dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe.
Founded in 1871 by Mr. Homer
Laughlin, The Homer Laughlin China Company has been owned and operated by
the Aaron and Wells families since their acquisition in 1897. Specializing
in high-fired, lead- free glazes with an Alpha Alumina added body, Homer
Laughlin remains the largest domestic pottery employing over 1100 skilled
workers in a 37 acre facility.
Computerized kilns, state-of-the-art production facilities and decorating
equipment, and the timeless style and elegance of the designs provide the
perfect combination that is the hallmark of The Homer Laughlin China
Company.
